Tim Armes is an entrepreneur and operator whose work has centered on career marketplaces, digital platforms, and the nursing profession. He is the President and Co-Founder of Nurses Lounge, where he leads the company’s effort to build a single platform that connects nurses and key stakeholder organizations while helping healthcare facilities reduce reliance on staffing agencies through a subscription-based, on-demand model.

Before Nurses Lounge, Tim founded Jobs.com, one of the early online job platforms. After the company was sold to Monster.com, he turned his attention to the nursing profession and took over NursesLounge.com. What began as a nursing job board evolved into a broader effort to aggregate and connect nurses and the organizations that serve them.

In 2002, Tim launched a direct mail magazine distributed to 35,000 registered nurses in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The publication was supported by nurse recruitment advertising from local hospitals and gave him a direct view into how fragmented nursing information, career opportunity, and workforce access had become. As digital platforms continued to grow, that insight led to the relaunch of Nurses Lounge as a Professional Network for Nurses.

Over time, that vision expanded. Nurses Lounge was rebuilt as a proprietary platform designed to connect nurses, nursing schools, associations, employers, and other stakeholders in one place. Nurses Lounge is building a third option, direct access to a local float pool through a flat monthly subscription fee and an on-demand platform model.
