I am responsible for teaching the "med/surg" courses in our curriculum, labeled Health and Healing I/II + clinical, which is located in our Rochester campus.  I coordinate clinical faculty for the courses, as well as teach clinical in the areas of neurosurgery, thoracic/vascular surgery and PCU, cardiac PCU, hematology, and general surgery.  We are currently transitioning to the conceptual approach, which is quite challenging and I am learning much along the way.  The best part of my job is watching students grow into confident, competent nursing students by the end of their junior year.  I live for those "ah-ha!" moments!
