Mission

The San Francisco State University School of Nursing aims to motivate and educate undergraduate and graduate nursing students to meet the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities. Faculty has a passion for teaching using a rich variety of educational methods. We embrace the diversity of our student population, and are committed to educating nurses who serve diverse populations with a focus on social and environmental justice, and health equality. Furthermore, we incorporate evidence-based nursing knowledge, ethical decision-making, and sound clinical judgment into our educational paradigm. Using various educational modalities that include state of the art information technologies, students learn how to provide safe, quality patient-centered care. Our students are prepared to adapt to changing healthcare needs and environments and to serve society through civic engagement and lifelong learning.

The School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).

The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will be the only activity occurring for the first hour of the conference, so prepare to be busy!     For $300 per table, you can reserve up to two six-foot tables per program. Each registration allows you to bring two representatives, and includes free parking, breakfast and lunch. They will offer two in-depth recruitment times for you: their ticketed Networking Lunch and their Networking Reception from 4-5 p.m., allowing you to speak to prospective students in a more personal environment. To register, please visit http://prehealthconference.ucdavis.... Once registered, additional information will be sent. The deadline to be included in the conference program is August 15, less than one month away. The final deadline is September 15, but you will not be included in the conference program. Exhibitors cannot register after September 15.

    We are holding multiple events throughout the weekend where exhibitors will have the chance to interact with attendees and conference team members in a more one-on-one setting:
    • Recruiting Lunch: 12-1pm in the ARC Pavilion
    • Networking Reception: 4-5pm in the ARC Pavilion
    • Sunday Recognition Brunch: Sunday, Oct. 15th 10am-12pm in the ARC Ballroom
    These events may be registered for in exhibitor registration.

    In addition, they are hosting several interactive workshops, inclusive of interview skill development workshops. The workshop is designed to provide students with the opportunity to practice their interview skills in a professional setting. The format of the workshop will consist of a set of pre-selected questions, and elements of a Multiple Mini Interview that you will ask each interviewee and provide feedback on their responses.
