Kaiser Permanente is pleased to offer postgraduate Administrative Fellowships in the Northern California, Southern California, and Northwest Regions beginning in July 2018. The Fellowship Programs provide broad exposure to the opportunities and challenges present when managing a large, fully integrated, health maintenance organization. Students with a degree conferred from July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018 are eligible to apply. Nursing applicants are eligible to apply to the Southern California Region if the degree is conferred between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2018.

Fellows have the opportunity to participate in planning their program curriculum with the support and commitment of senior leaders in the organization. In addition to the consistent exposure to and support from KP executives, Fellows work on a variety of projects across the three entities of the organization: Permanente Medical Groups, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and the Health Plan. From implementing an initiative with clinicians at a local medical center to taking on an interim operations role to developing business line strategies for a particular region, these experiences have been critical in developing Fellows for leadership positions in health administration.

The Online Application Portal is now open! Please note that separate applications should be submitted for the Northern California, Southern California, and Northwest Regions. Required application materials include: Official Graduate School Transcript(s), Resume, Statement of Purpose, Essay, and Letters of Recommendation (Professional and Academic). To be considered, applications must be completed and all application materials received by September 29, 2017 at 5:00PM PST. Early submissions are strongly encouraged. The selection process begins early in October and moves quickly; therefore, if selected students should be available for on-site interviews in late October.

Please see the attached documents for more details regarding the Fellowship Programs.

If you have additional questions about the programs or application process, you may reach out by email at ncal.kp-fellowship@kp.org (for Northern California), scal.kp-fellowship@kp.org (for Southern California), or kpnwcareers@kp.org (for Northwest). Students may also obtain more information from their Fellowship website at http://adminfellowship.kp.org or tune into their final informational WebEx session that will be held on September 13th at 11:00AM PST.
