MedCAREERS Group Introduces Nurses Lounge:
A Professional Network for Nurses

Atlanta, GA – March 23, 2011 — MedCAREERS GROUP, Inc. (the “Company”) (OTCQB:MCGI) MedCAREERS Group, Inc. today provided an overview of Nurses Lounge , which was acquired by the Company on November 19, 2010.

Nurses Lounge operates what management believes is the first of its kind online professional network for nurses. The Nurses Lounge network provides a secure place for nurses to connect with colleagues, network on a professional level and subscribe to professional “Lounges” (groups) to receive email updates of relevant news, events and other info.

Nurses Lounge is first and foremost built around the needs of nurse professionals. Nurses Lounge is uniquely designed to work effectively with those organizations that are connected to the nursing community (hospitals, nursing schools, continuing education providers, employers) so that the needs of these organizations and nursing professionals are satisfied in a professional and secure environment.

Benefits for Nurse Organizations

Technically, the Nurses Lounge is a web 2.0 communications platform. Through a simple to use drag and drop control panel, non-technical members of nurse organizations can communicate their messages to members using all available internet technologies including, video, flash, banners, and attachments.

An example of how various organizations benefit by joining Nurses Lounge and creating a professional interactive lounge include:

  • Local chapters of nurse association’s benefit by using Nurses Lounge as a more efficient way to communicate with their current members as well as for recruiting new members and disseminating news and information to their broader local nursing profession. Nurse Registration Growth Driven by Organizations

Nurses may register with the Nurses Lounge at www.Nurseslounge.com by creating a professional profile. Once registered, Nurses may then join Lounges created by various participating organizations to receive automatic email alerts when new information such as news, events, continuing education courses and jobs are posted as well as to network professionally with members of the Lounges.

In addition, as schools, associations and employers join and create their own Lounges, they can send ‘join links’ to their respective membership. When an organization’s member clicks on the “join link”, the member will be automatically placed in their specific organization’s Lounge after going through a brief registration process.

There is no cost to a nurse, nursing school or nursing related association to use or set up an interactive Nurses Lounge. Employers are charged an annual fee that, for a limited time, also includes free unlimited job postings.

History of Nurses Lounge

Nurses Lounge grew out of a nine year old nurse publication and web portal. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Nurses Lounge began operations in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Nurse web portal in the 1990’s. Timothy Armes, founder of Jobs.com, acquired the portal site in 2002 and moved the operation to Dallas where he also launched a successful direct mail companion magazine. The magazine, which is still published today, but not owned by the Company reports on the local nursing profession and is paid for by nurse recruitment classified ads from major nurse employers. The network was enhanced several times to become a more socially oriented network for nurses, and was re-launched in mid 2009 as www.nurseslounge.com, in its present form as a professional network for nurses.
