“Networking is the most important boost you can give to your career, whether you’re looking for a career change or totally satisfied with your career status.”

Rose Wagner, RN, MHS, CMPE

Benefits of a Professional Network

From the time you entered nursing school, got your first job and joined a local nursing association you have been building your professional network.

The people you meet and the knowledge you obtain becomes a valuable asset to you. In return, you and the knowledge you pass along become valuable to others. These types of relationships and exchanges are basically a network.

Nurses Lounge is an online environment exclusively for nurses like you to build and share networks of people, knowledge, and resources all through a professional profile that you maintain and control.

Your profile is a means for you to collaborate with and assist other nurse professionals . Completed, professional profiles expand your opportunities as they make you more visible to the nursing community, but with complete discresion control. You choose the information you want to share through privacy settings controlled by you.

In addition to building your professional network and profile, you can join groups, called Lounges, created by employers, nurse organizations, faculty, and other like-minded professionals.

Lounges, such as the Texas Nurses Association Lounge, allow you to stay in touch with other members and subscribe to upcoming events, news, CE, and announcements related to that particular Lounge.

We ask that you join, complete a profile and actively engage so that you may see the benefits of a professional network for the nursing profession.

We are, however, in the launching stage of our site. Please invite your friends and colleagues to join and grow your professional network in the Nurses Lounge.
