Why Nurses Need to be in the Nurses Lounge:

From the time you entered nursing school, started your first job and joined a local nursing association you have been building on your professional knowledge base as well as building a professional network of trusted colleagues.

However, the problem has always been in maintaining these professional contacts and sharing this
information with those who could benefit from it in a timely manner.

Though the technology behind social networks have proven to be able to solve many of these problems, they have grown to become all things social and thus crossing the line between business and pleasure.

As a result, the Nurses Lounge, a professional network exclusively for nurses was launched allowing you to build and share networks of fellow nursing colleagues, knowledge and resources while at the same time providing a line between your social and professional life.

Once you go through the quick registration process, you will be asked to create a professional profile (you choose the information you want to share through privacy settings controlled by you). Completed, your professional profile is a means for you to collaborate with and assist other nurse professionals as well as a way to expand your career opportunities.

In addition to building your professional network and profile, you can join groups, called Lounges, created by nursing schools, associations, metro/state location, employers as well as many other professional topics.

These lounges allow you to connect with and stay in touch with other like-minded members and subscribe to news, upcoming events, and CE’s, related to that particular topic and relevant to your career.

Thanks for learning more about the Nurses Lounge. We ask that you take a few minutes to join ‘your’ network, complete a profile and actively engage so that you may see the benefits of belonging to a professional network for you, your colleagues and the nursing profession as a whole.
